Red Lantern is a Live Event Promotions Company Based in Portsmouth. We are passionate about live music events and giving new and upcoming bands the chance to play in a great city. Brighton has some incredible venues small and big which is great for Red Lantern but also for bands that are looking to put on shows as apart of their tour or just to play to a new crowd and build a fan base. Our First show took place at Sticky Mike's Frog Bar with XOCKHA (combine lo-fi indie rock, dream pop, drifting melodies and ambient vibes. Formed on the Isle of Wight) headlining, with support from local bands Mindofalion and Jumanji. Opening the show were Bristol band No Violet. This was XOCKHA's first Brighton show and we couldn't of been happier with how it went. Red Lantern are always looking for new bands that want to play in Brighton for upcoming shows.

Think indie synth pop is an oversaturated genre? Meet XOCKHA, a band who in this reviewer’s opinion, are setting the foundations to dominate the scene. As the four-piece from the Isle of Wight arrive to local favourite venue, Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar, we are greeted with silky shirts, some ‘Jacksonesque’ dance moves, all wrapped up in bouncing pop riffs which morph a relatively mediocre genre into an entirely new and exciting sound. When speaking to frontman, Ben Jones, prior to the show, he informs me this is XOCKHA’s first time playing in Brighton and that all the guys are really excited to be featuring the city in their headline tour along the south coast.
